L’AIS 2017, qui aura lieu à Lisbonne les 11 et 12 octobre, rassemblera plus de 500 agriculteurs, groupes opérationnels, groupes d’action locale, entreprises rurales, start-ups, autorités de gestion des PDR, réseaux ruraux, chercheurs, conseillers et ONG. L’événement vise à favoriser la fertilisation croisée entre différentes initiatives d’innovation multi-acteurs (notamment groupes opérationnels et projets Horizon 2020), à sensibiliser au thème de l’innovation et de la transformation numérique pour l’agriculture, les filières et les zones rurales et à contribuer aux politiques européennes d’innovation agricole et rurale post-2020. AGRI INNOVATION SUMMIT 2017 Expression of interest to participate

Dear Colleague,

The AGRI INNOVATION SUMMIT 2017 (AIS2017) will take place in Oeiras, Portugal from 11-12 October 2017, starting on the morning of 11th and concluding  at end of the afternoon of  the 12th. It is jointly organised by the European Commission – DG AGRI, the Portuguese Government, the ENRD Contact Point and the EIP-AGRI Service Point.

The event will gather more than 500 farmers, rural businesses, start-ups, RDP managing authorities, national rural networks, LEADER Local Action Groups, researchers, advisors and NGOs throughout the EU with the aim of:

  • Promoting cross fertilization between multi-actor innovation initiatives, both under Rural Development Programmes and Horizon 2020
  • Raising awareness about innovation and digitisation opportunities for agriculture and rural economies and how these may be supported under on-going Rural Development Programmes
  • Providing input for EU innovation policies for agriculture and rural areas after 2020, following-up on Point 7 of the Cork 2.0 Declaration

 

There will be interpretation in Portuguese, English, French and German during the plenary sessions but the interactive workshop sessions will be held in English. Please note that you must cover your own costs for travel and accommodation.

The ENRD Contact Point is organising 4 workshops (titles are provisional) on the 12th of October which are particularly relevant for Local Action Groups and other rural actors:

  • Extending digital opportunities for rural businesses and communities
  • Strategies and approaches for improving connectivity
  • Promoting innovation in rural areas – now and in the future. How can the current support system be improved and simplified?
  • Smart Villages - Supporting social and digital innovation in rural services

 

There is already great interest in this event and participation will by invitation only to named participants. In order to ensure that invitations are directed to rural development stakeholders interested and able to attend we are asking you to fill in the brief electronic form here to confirm your interest and commitment to attending the event.

Please complete this by 29/06/2017.  Should the number of positive responses exceed the number of available places it will be necessary to carry out an internal selection process with the aim of ensuring a balance between different types of stakeholders and parts of Europe.
